Hand Embroidered Felt Bookmark

Assalamualaikum..

Ummi started this project right away after we came back from Cherating...Teacher's day fall on Saturday and since we spent our weekend away from home so ummi just couldn't do it yet...My first craft project using felt..Even though it was late but thought that count matter...right??


For the fish theme bookmark, ummi used coral stitch for the lines, colonial stitch for the bubbles and the rest ummi used back stitch, running stitch. Added with bullion rose and fly stitch leaves for the greetings.

For the cat bookmark, ummi used appliqué technique for the cat images add on with some simple stitches. Rope stitch for the lines, the rest are back stitch and running stitch. Added with bullion roses, detached chain stitch for the leaves and stem stitch...I also plait the 6 strand thread using the brid stitch method for the string..

Ummi did prepared a simple card for the teachers too. I used scrapblog. My first time tho...

I hope Umair and Moustoffa's teachers will like it....

Kuih Bakar Labu @ Baked Pumpkin Pudding

Assalamualaikum.

Few days back ummi baked this kuih...Boys really like it...Thought of giving it some to my neighbor but looked at the way the eat it hemm...tak jadilah ..perhaps next time

Here are the recipes if u wanna try..I like it to burn a bit on top of it..so 5 minutes before the time off ummi increase the temperature a bit...but careful otherwise your kuih will be hangus hehe..

Ingredients :

125gm margarine
120gm sugar
4 eggs
200gm flour
1 boiled and squashed pumpkin
250ml coconut milk - u can substitute with evaporated milk but the taste using coconut milk is much more creamier..

Preparations :

1. Combine margarine and sugar in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer hand-held until well blended.
2. Add egg one by one and continue to beat the mixture
3. Pour in the flour and the squashed pumpkin and mix it slowly.
4. Lastly add in the coconut milk and pour the batter into a greased and overlayed baked pan.
5. Baked at 180 degree for about 45 minutes.

Cherating Day 2 Stories

Assalamualaikum...

Today ummi nak sambung cerita kat Cherating ...Day 2 pagi2 we went out to the beach...since air surut so we have to walk jauh sikitlah..sebenarnya kami kuar pagi2 coz ayah nak capture sunrise...so amik peluang ni jugak kutip sea shell..so tunjuk2 kat abang macam mana rupa sea shell...

In the evening we went to Kuantan..amik SIL kat IKIP hostel. Then we headed to Benteng Kuantan near Jetty ..sedap makan kat sini and murah sket dari tempat lain..

Ni apa yang kami berempat makan..


Ini nama warung yang kami pergi...so if u come to Kuantan bolehlah singgah sini..


Balik jer dari Kuantan terus makan steamboat kat hotel..ni dah masuk dalam package..balik makan terus sambung makan lagi...hehe tengoklah badan ummi..yg pompuan je tengok yer..abang makan sikit2 jer...Moustoffa..dah last2 orang nak balik bilik barulah sibuk2 nak makan mee

Cherating oo la...la...la....la.. Day 1

Assalamualaikum...

Kami dah balik from Cherating...It was a good holiday....We reached there around 12 noon..then we lepak2 kat bilik ...dah lepaskan penat apalagi terus budak2 nih debush...into the swimming pool..picture taken waktu baru sampai and at the swimming pool..see how excited they were including Ghazi...


In the evening after had some meal..we went to the sandy beach...Pantai Cherating located at Kg Budaya Cherating...For your info food at Cherating and Kuantan actually more expensive than KL..I was quite shock when I found out nasi goreng USA cost RM6.00...errr since the food outside was quite expensive so we decided to had dinner at the hotel...a set of seafood curry consist of ulam2 including salted egg, seafood curry, vegetables and tea or coffee cost us only RM20.00.

Ayah accident

Assalamualaikum..

Sapa2 yang tengah makan err should not view this picture now maybe later..takderlah teruk sangat tapi boleh juga membuatkan anda berhenti makan...

Ayah accident semalam..When he entered the house after gave salam then he told me he bump into accident...dup dap dup dap...rasa macam nak berhenti jantung...then he told me it was a minor one....ayah tak nampak batu besar...so he ram to it dan jatuh...alhamdulillah at the traffic light so all the car and motor stop..otherwise I surely crying all the way right now...
Alhamdulillah Allah masih melindungi ayah walaupun ayah jatuh..just few scratch..sakit badan n kaki...blood pressure naik....tapi still ummi masih bersyukur sebab ayah tak cedera teruk...

Err...we are going to Cherating tomorrow..tak boleh nak cancel sebab dah book hotel...so kawan2 doakan semoga kaki ayah cepat sembuh...coz he needs to drive us there...ummi tak boleh drive jauh2...takut..

See yang kuning2 tu lebam..hujung ibu jari burn sket kena ekzos...kalo tgk betul2 ader lubang2 kecik..maybe kena batu kot..

Wedding Anniversary and Vacation

Assalamualaikum...Hemm bz...bz...bz...

This week Umair and Moustoffa is sitting for their mid year examination..Ummi?? Well I'm busy sewing my nursing knee length blouse....just a few more to go..I'll show the finish product later okies..

By the way insya allah we are going to Cherating this weekend for our vacation..and hehe our 7th wedding aniversary Ayah bought this easy package for 3 days 2 nights at Matta Fair last March and it is much more cheaper...

Happy Mother's Day

Assalamualaikum....

I've received these cards from Umair and Moustoffa...together with a hug..They made it at school yesterday..To my mom Pn. Maznah Talib and my mother in law Pn. Seniwati Hj Buang..we wish u Happy Mother's Day...We thank u for all the sacrife...tought...caring and loving spread over us.

Dinner at Al-Rawsha

Assalamualaikum..Last weekend was a very busy one..hehe since ayah already got bon-bon.... so we decided to buy a printer..so on Friday after Jumaat prayer we headed to Low Yatt Plaza..

On the way traffic was smooth but we got stuck at the junction near the Low Yatt Plaza..seems like everybody wanted to shopping around this area..aduih...then the car park was full so ayah has to park at Sungei Wang...just imagine if u have to carry things with 3 small kids with u ....errr...everybody were very tired..ummi pun pancit..


After maghrib at Masjid Alam Shah we went for dinner at Al-Rawsha Jalan Damai KL...Arabian cuisine..for me food was so so jer..oo in the menu they put hot dishes..but mine one was cold...makanan banyak..1 plate boleh makan 2 adults..prices...emmm pricey lah for me...errrr services need to be improved...


Tengoklah aksi-aksi mereka...they can't sit still....
